about Me

Who I am
ciao!
I am Serena.
Raised in Puglia, I spent many years abroad before choosing to return and settle here in Polignano a Mare.
Today, I photograph the stories of international couples who choose my homeland to celebrate something truly authentic.
My vision thrives on a dual perspective: a visceral bond with my roots and an open curiosity toward the world, its contrasts, and cultural blends. I absolutely love it when the wonder of distant cultures arrives right at my doorstep.
Background
I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was sixteen. Driven by this passion, I spent years living across Europe, including Spain, where I studied image and lighting, and shot my first weddings between the gypsy communities of Granada and LGBTQ+ documentary projects.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, I refined my eye alongside renowned photography studios. Today, I dedicate myself to destination weddings, deeply fascinated by the anthropology and ritual symbolism of marriage, capturing the stories and traditions that intertwine on this land.
I completely break away from the classic photographer stereotype and the stiff tension of “knowing how to pose.” With me, people just click, relax, and have a good time. I guide you to simply be yourselves: I’ll have you running, dancing, being silly, and forgetting about the lens altogether. I don’t look for the constructed pose, but the truth of a moment that breathes—one you will remember forever.
The warm Mediterranean light is my muse, along with the raw grain of a memory and the fleeting details that escape control. I believe in photography as pure narrative, a subtle balance between what is seen and what is felt—capable of vibrating on its own, without needing words.
