about Me

Who I am
My name is Serena Venturini, I was born in Puglia and I have lived many years abroad.
My vision comes from dual perspectives: a deep bond with my homeland and an open curiosity towards the world.
I began photographing in Spain, between gypsy weddings and social projects.
Since then, I have never stopped searching for truth and beauty in people’s stories. Today, I live in Polignano a Mare and mostly work with foreign couples who choose Puglia as the place to celebrate something meaningful.
I bring with me a style that blends reportage and editorial aesthetics, but above all, a way of seeing: sincere, spontaneous, personal.
I am moved by emotions, by the Mediterranean light, by imperfect contrasts.
Photography for me is not just a job: it is a way to give back what I feel.
Background
I started photographing at 16, and photography quickly became my professional path. I speak fluent Italian, English, and Spanish, and I can connect with people even when we don’t share a common language.
I have studied image and lighting, worked as a second photographer for several studios and private photographers, and developed personal film projects—from the Gypsy communities of Granada to stories within the LGBTQ+ community.
Along the way, I’ve explored different professions, each adding new skills, but photography has always remained the central thread of my career. I am drawn to editorial aesthetics, the grain and textures of analog film, and capturing authentic, heartfelt emotions.
I specialize in destination weddings and intimate celebrations in Puglia and worldwide, creating wedding photography that is authentic, timeless, and deeply personal.
